Welcome to Birbeck Medical Group

We offer a wide variety of services to all our patients.  We will usually accept any patient living in our Practice area [approximately 10 mile radius]. 

- Birbeck Medical Group is made up of 5 Partners and 6 Salaried GPs with over 40 support staff. As a teaching practice, we also on occasion, have medical students working with us.

We shape our services around the needs and preferences of our patients, their families and carers.  Every member of staff will treat you with respect.  In return, we expect that patients keep appointments and treat our staff politely and with respect. 

The Practice complies with all relevant Government legislation including Data Protection and Freedom of Information. 

The Practice supports the BEEP Fund which has been set up to provide equipment and training for the care of casulaties involved in accidents and emergencies in the surrounding area.

The symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • a cough
  • a high temperature
  • shortness of breath

The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu and it does not necessarily mean you have the illness.

Respiratory Assessment Service

During the current COVID-19 outbreak, patients experiencing certain symptoms (breathing issues and / or fever) and who have been telephone assessed by a GP to need a face-to-face examination will be called to our local 'Red Hub'.
